...of Blood & Iron...
Welcome to Citadel
Citadel is a small, tight-knit MMORPG guild focused on large-scale RvR (aka WvW, aka Faction vs Faction) and open-world PvP. Our philosophy revolves around maintaining a cohesive unit where everyone is familiar with each other's play styles and our overall group tendencies. We enjoy small group skirmishes, taking on greater numbers, or coordinating with other guilds to accomplish larger objectives.
At this time, Citadel no longer maintains an active official presence in any current games. Our core members remain good friends, and keep in touch via our Discord channel, often joining each other in online games, virtual table-top games (ie D&D), or just watching movies or MMA fights together.
If you are a returning member, or past friend or ally of our guild looking to reconnect, please contact Helspyre.
History
Citadel was formed in September 2008 for the game Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning (starting on Red Eye Mountain and merging to Iron Rock). We also have had an official presence in Aion (Triniel), Guild Wars 2 (Stormbluff Isle) and Elder Scrolls Online.
Our core has a long history, spanning over 20 years, in large-scale and open-world PvP games. Citadel members have set themselves apart in games like Dark Age of Camelot, Shadowbane, Asheron's Call 2, Warhammer Online, Aion, Rift, Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online among others.
Present Outlook...
Citadel had hopes of moving into the potential MMORPG, Camelot Unchained, but as the game has been in an indefinite and painfully sluggish development cycle lasting for over a decade so far, with barely any progress shown, that hope has all but vanished.
Sadly, it appears that the era of our preferred MMORPG play-style has long ended. If we are happily proven wrong in the future with a hypothetical great RvR-focused game, you can be sure we will be there, though it may or may not be under the Citadel banner. Either way, there would be major updates to this website.
For any other game that does pique the interest of some of our members to at least some degree, our members often do, and will continue to seek each other out to adventure together, even if it is not an official Citadel operation. Past friends and allies are welcome to seek us out as well.
